about

Music is often our comfort when times are troubled. As operatic tenors, Gulley/Granner's usual response is to pop in an opera recording, turn up the stereo and be awash in the awesome power of vocal splendor and musical genius.

Our first record would logically be just that, Opera.

Yet before we set out on that journey, (Coming Fall 2013) we want to give you a glimpse of our past, how we were raised, yet now with the Gulley/Granner twist, featuring one of the top Jazz pianists in Kansas City, Mark Lowrey.

In America, HYMNs, spirituals and inspirational songs have helped lift our country’s spirit when times are rough. These American songs fueled us to cross the wilderness and vast open prairies, to withstand the Dust Bowl, fight through the Great Depression, march against evil in WW2, and sing with hope through the Civil Rights movement.

Yes, it is a new world today and these songs, both new and old, hearken back to our greatest moments, encouraging us to look toward the future.
